Recently in class I did a presentation on the AroundMe app. Just to continue the intriguing discussion, I think that everyone could benefit from using this. I mean, it is like having a free GPS, phonebook, and information hot spot all in one place. It is unreal to me how one place can have all of this information, and then you can get exact directions on how to get somewhere at the click of a button. It really makes you wonder what else is next. A couple of years ago I paid over 200 dollars for a GPS, and now it is outdated. It gives you a peace of mind knowing that technology like this continues to just pop up out of nowhere, and none of us know what the next big thing is. We didn't even have internet until 1993, and now you can get internet in the new smartwatch offered by Samsung. I think it is important that we all try to keep up with these changes because one day it is going to be essential to know how these operate. Businesses and a lot of organizations rely solely on their social media strategy to gain customers and traffic. Apps like AroundMe help to contribute to the new and changing times we once dreamed of.
